We already knew that the community we’ve created here is the absolute BEST group of people with the most pure, open hearts, but we need you to know just how much being wrapped up in your love & kindness has helped us this week. You’ve propped us up in our saddest moments & for that, we’ll be eternally grateful. And you should know that it’s your unending, passionate support of this little blog of ours that made it possible for me to work from home these last few years, snuggled up with Hamlet every day & words just can’t express how much those few years of pure joy with him meant to me. I love you guys more than you’ll ever know! 💗

I know a lot of you were invested in & loved him so much, so I wanted to tell you that yesterday we said goodbye to my best friend in the whole world, Hamlet when he crossed the rainbow bridge. It was by far one of the worst days of my life & the hardest thing we’ve ever had to do, but after a few really tough years of struggle & illness, Hamlet told us it was time to rest. I know this might be hard for some people to understand, but I’ve truly never loved anything like I loved Hamlet, and even though yesterday was absolutely heartbreaking for us, I’d go through a thousand yesterdays to have the 14 years I spent loving & being loved by Hamlet . He was the best dog there ever was. He was the most loyal dog there ever was. He was the most loving dog there ever was. He was the most hilarious dog there ever was. He was my world. He taught me so much about life, unconditional love & companionship. I brought Hamlet home when I was 22, and since then my life has been forever changed & my world infinitely improved thanks to him. We grew up together. We spent every day snuggling together. We fell in love with Chris together & started our family together. And finally, Ham knew that our lives were about to evolve again with a baby boy on the way. My world looks so much grayer today without him in it, but I know I’ll see & snuggle him again someday. 💗

#ad 2 cool DIY projects for spring, one cool (and honestly kind of magical) product! As you guys know form meets function is my JAM when it comes to DIY projects, home decor & home design & I think it’s safe to say that @plastidipintl Craft is the holy grail of that marriage! So when I heard about Plasti Dip Craft my mind immediately started racing with about 75 different ways I could make something more functional & more beautiful around our house with this stuff! What makes it so awesome? It's a multipurpose flexible coating that easily sprays onto surfaces like a spray paint, but provides a comfortable, controlled grip and rubber coating texture to the application surface protecting it against moisture, acids, abrasion, corrosion & skidding/slipping! How cool is that? Swipe through the pics to see two of my favorite genius ways I used Plasti Dip Craft around the house: The first project definitely requires a story. Wine glasses & champagne flutes are just too darn fragile for my butter fingers. True story, one of the most embarrassing moments of my life was when I knocked over & shattered not one but TWO wine glasses when meeting Chris’ boss for the first time. I was mortified. Plasti Dip Craft to the rescue! I’m now a firm believer that ALL stemware needs some Plasti Dip Craft in its life before I touch it. I scored this pretty spring-perfect stemware at an antique shop for a steal & sprayed the stem & base with green Plasti Dip Craft. Aren't they so fun? And now they stay put on the table, no mortifying moments to be seen! The second project that’s both uber functional & adorable thanks to some Plasti Dip Craft problem solving? My diaper caddy & wipe dispenser on the changing table! I know I’m going to need to be able to one-hand this stuff while changing baby boy & having these items slipping around on top of the changing table and/or scratching it up just won’t work. So for these I just sprayed the bottom half with pretty white Plasti Dip Craft and voila - they stay put, protect the top of my changing table & look cute, too. #dipheadsunite #plastidip

The recipe for this insanely tasty citrus streusel coffee cake is on the blog at the link in my bio & it’s seriously all kinds of sweet brunch heaven 🍊 I’ll be making one tomorrow morning to get ready for the weekend so maybe I’ll hop on Stories & bring you guys along with me! Also I thoroughly encourage sitting down with a fork & just helping yourself to half the cake if you feel so compelled after tasting this deliciousness. Worth it!

#ad My mouth is STILL watering over this! I’ve craved all things @sunkistcitrus & especially these super juicy Sunkist® Minneola tangelos from Albertsons throughout pregnancy.
