Who else loves Thanksgiving with their whole hearts? Thanksgiving has always been one of my very favorite holidays because it’s just so relaxed, ya know? Honestly, I think I love it so much because Thanksgiving just doesn’t come with all of the chaos (albeit totally awesome chaos) that Christmas includes and the day or couple of days of celebration really just focuses on slowing down, connecting with the ones you love, reflecting on and talking about a year’s worth of gratitude and of course, food! Who else counts Thanksgiving dinner as one of their favorite meals of the year? It’s the meal that dreams are made of!

With that in mind I felt like I needed to give Thanksgiving the love and appreciation it so deserves before we explode this blog with all of the holiday content you can handle, by sharing some inspiration for an easy, cozy, cottage-inspired Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving tablescape full of affordable tabletop finds and simple decor and centerpiece ideas for creating an enchanting, cottage-inspired Thanksgiving tablescape that wows! As always, it’s minimal effort and max impact on his one so you can focus on all of the other hostess duties, cooking and connecting that this special holiday comes with.
We’re so lucky here in Phoenix because when Thanksgiving rolls around our weather is at its most beautiful, so we have the option to do a magical Thanksgiving al fresco and I absolutely love that. Though I always loved a snowy, cozy traditional Thanksgiving at home in Michigan, a backyard Thanksgiving is every bit as awesome as it sounds! One of the little tricks I used on this tabletop that I think is so perfect for this holiday or really any fall table is to trade fussy florals for dried wheat sheaves thrown in simple ceramic jugs for my centerpieces. This was such a simple concept to execute and I love how cozy and warm the wheat sheaves are. You could house them in pretty much any vessel you want, and I think it would even be really cool to use mix and match, collected pitchers that you have hanging around to create a really cool, cottage vibe.
Below we rounded up some of our favorites that you can see on our table in the snaps, and included even more fun finds in the “Shop” widget below that.
