It’s no secret that relaxed, causal and comfy is the foundation of all of our outfits, so it makes sense that our love of sneakers with style is pretty strong. We’re not of the mind that sneakers should be solely relegated to athletic wear, so we’re pretty happy that the “lifestyle sneaker” is a full blown trend now, offering more cute (OK and “cool”, dudes) sneaker options for everyday wear than ever before! And when the summer months hit and adventure and travel begins, we’re always on the hunt for the perfect sneaks to wear with basically any and every casual outfit in our closet, which is why today’s post is so fun for us — we’re rounding up all of our favorite summer sneakers for men and women from around the web, and they’re all under $100! Also, we shot these pics at my sister and brother-in-law’s new house, so our adorable nephew Greyson makes a hilarious appearance in some of the snaps… and we couldn’t love it more!

I’ve long loved Keds and because they’ve come out with so many insanely cute styles this year, my love for their simple, comfortable and timeless sneaks has only grown. Seriously — how does a brand stay this cool for this long? This isn’t sponsored, I swear. I’m just a huge fan and so are all of the ladies in my fam. Pro Tip: They’ve done two collaborations I love this year, including one with Rifle Paper Co. and a recent one with DesignLoveFest. Both so good!
I fell in love… hard… with their tan leather Triple Kick Platform Sneakers that I’m wearing here the second I saw them, but I was slightly hesitant to pull the trigger mostly because the fact that the platform sneaker trend came back around these last couple of years seriously scared me at first. The 90s fashion flashbacks were real. Actually they were more like nightmares. I wasn’t sure I could pull a platform sneaker off, or even if I could, I was pretty certain I’d break an ankle. But much to my surprise and delight, when I tried them on They. Were. Amazing. It as like walking on clouds and I don’t feel in the least bit wobbly when I wear them. Also, I love the soft, smooth tan leather. It’s the perfect neutral to pair with any outfit and the leather elevates them ever-so-slightly so I can even wear them with romantic ruffles like this top (which is pretty much my favorite thing in my closet right now, BTW)!
And there are so many other summer sneakers under $100 that I’m loving right now, including these adorable printed chambray platform Keds (that I’ve mentioned before on the blog), these sweet Keds x Rifle Paper Co. floral beauties, these perfect lemon-print Supergas, these cute pink Supergas with pastel grommets and their platform partners, these blush leather Converse One-Stars, these pink and blue palm-print Supergas, these pink gingham Tretorns, and so many more that I linked in the “Shop Women’s Sneakers” widgets above and below.
Chris is wearing his absolute favorite casual sneaker style for summer, the Sperry Striper CVO Salt-Washed Twill. Because, duh, slip-ons! He claims that they’re one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes he owns and loves that the washed cotton twill on the inside and outside of the shoe is soft as soft can be. He also loves the salt-washed style because, well, if his inner surfer dude had his way everything in life would be salt-washed. They’re sold out in this sort of true blue color, but they’re available in a bunch of other amazing colors including white, navy, grey and khaki, all of which he wants. And if it’s a perfect blue sneaker you’re looking for, he says that he currently has his eyes on these Sperry Striper II CVO Nauticals and these Sperry Haven Lace-Ups which I fully support because they’re awesome. They also make them in a great white/khaki colorway that he’s also really into.
Chris also rounded up tons of the causal men’s sneaker styles he’s loving this summer that are all under $100, including the Seavees Hermosa Plimsoll Standards which they make in an awesome blue and the perfect green, these classic washed canvas slip-ons from Vans x J.Crew, these white canvas Sperrys with contrasting blue stripe, these cool grey canvas slip-on Converse, these classic white mesh Donald J Pliners, and a whole lot more there that came from in the “Shop Men’s Sneakers” widgets above and below.
