I don’t think I could ever properly convey my excitement about today’s post through typing on a keyboard, so just know that our smiles are ear to ear while writing this because today one of our favorite rooms in our home, our kitchen, is featured on the blog of one of our very favorite brands, Barn Light Electric! The post also includes a little Q&A with yours truly about our home decor and design and it couldn’t have been more fun. Woo hoo!

If you’re not already familiar with Barn Light Electric’s brand and creations, prepare to be wowed when you hop over to their website and peruse their offerings. There are just so many things to love about what they do. In the interview I talk about how I fell in love with their lights the moment I saw one of their pendant barn lights hanging in a beautifully colorful and cozy kitchen in a photo I came across on Pinterest right before I moved into the home we currently live in. I was looking for a light for the breakfast nook that would really make a statement and become the centerpiece of our home’s design, and the Steber Bomber in Jadite from Barn Light Electric was actually the very first decor item I purchased for this house and remains my very favorite item in our home today.

I fell in love… hard the moment I realized that the light I had dreamed up in my head for the breakfast nook could actually become a reality and that I could customize every part of the light to make my vision come to life. This may seem like such a weird thing to say, but have you ever acquired a piece of art, or clothing or decor that just felt like you? Well if I were a light or an item in a house, I would be this light. I love everything about that beautiful, creamy, welcoming jadite color (as I’m sure you can tell because it’s all over this blog and all over our home), that classic and cozy barn light style and the impeccable craftsmanship that can be seen from every angle and with every flick of that light switch. No matter where we call home, this light will always have a place in it.

If you’ve been with us on the blog for a bit, you may remember that we’ve featured our kitchen here on Love + Specs once before when it got a crazy insane 48-hour makeover a couple of years ago! What an awesomely fun whirlwind that was!
