I feel like the name of the game when it comes to cottage style decor in the summer is outdoor entertaining. Am I right? When I think of the cottage lifestyle during the summer season I think of sun-soaked days or warm nights hanging barefoot in the backyard (or even better, on the dock) with friends and family, eating, drinking, listening to some tunes and finding water wherever or whenever we can. Lazy summer days and backyard/beachside hangouts may look a little bit different this summer, but I’m just can’t help myself from breaking out the summer entertaining supplies and finding any and every way I can to soak in that summer season cottage lifestyle I love so much, even if it’s with just a few of my nearest and dearest by my side… or 6+ feet apart. Maybe it’s the summer of the mini soiree? Or the summer where we go all out on a backyard party for two?! No matter how small the gathering may be (a solo soiree with a nice tall glass or frosé is cool, too!), as long as there’s a lawn game or a s’mores roast afoot, it’s perfect in my eyes. Either way, some summer partyin’ is happening, even if it’s just me and Ham roasting mallows by the fire or challenging each other to a friendly game or cornhole!

With that in mind and my summer hostess and backyard party daydreams showing no signs of ending their occupation of my brain as the weather warms up, I thought it would be fun to get you guys in on the inspiration and action by rounding up all of the fresh summer entertaining pieces I’m loving out there right now, tons of which is on mega sale in celebration of the unofficial kickoff to summer this weekend… Memorial Day!
