In case you didn’t know, Father’s Day is on Sunday and because our Awesome Last Minute Mother’s Day Gift Ideas seemed to be so popular with all you slackers here on the blog (I kid, I kid you’re amazing, but seriously traffic to that post was off the charts and still is, oddly enough!), we thought we’d bless you with another procrastinator’s guide to awesomeness and gift you this guide to sweet Father’s Day gift ideas that are all available via Amazon Prime. Because duh, they’ll arrive in time (two days or less) making you look like the most thoughtful daughter/son/wife/whatever on the planet. And because as I’ve said a thousand times here on Love + Specs, Prime is life.
We totally get it – you’re all busy, fully-functioning adults and these holidays have a way of sneaking up on you, but that’s why we’re here! To stomp out that anxiety and remind you that advances in technology like Amazon Prime make it possible for all of us to look like the the best children and wives ever. Oh yeah… and also make it possible for us to show those dads in our lives how much we love and appreciate them! Definitely, mostly that. So sit back, relax, mix yourself a dad-inspired Old Fashioned and get shopping, you beautiful slacker, you!
1. Himalayan Salt Block & Holder
This is one of the raddest gifts you could get for any guy who loves to grill… or even the guy who just loves to cook in general. This Himalayan salt block adds extra yummy flavor to food, and you can set this puppy directly on your grill or stove top and make perfectly-seasoned fish, beef, chicken, veggies… whatever! Or you can chill it in the refrigerator and use it as a serving plate. And the metal holder makes it easy to move to and from the grill or refrigerator and extends the life of the salt block itself so dad can grill to his heart’s desire!

2. Bose Wireless Headphones
Because pretty much everyone who uses an iPhone has been forced to upgrade to the iPhone 7 or 7s, they’re going to need a set of wireless headphones to make their life easier for listening to music, podcasts, books on tape, Kenny G… whatever! They need them. And these Bose wireless earbuds are the best of the best. Hey, only the best for Dad, right?!

3. Dad Books Box Sets
John Grisham, Lee Child, Tom Clancy. These are a few classic “dad” authors that just never go out of style. I’m pretty sure my dad has every single book by all three of these authors and would happily re-read any of their action-packed novels. Basically, these authors are all known for centering their stories around badass dudes, which may be why dads just can’t gt enough!

4. Ray Ban Folding Wayfarer Sunglasses
These may seem simple, but we can’t even stress how perfect these are for dads… or dudes in general… or basically everyone! So many people in our family have acquired a pair of these folding wonders because 1. They’re extremely practical & compact 2. They’re ultra durable and 3. They look good on anyone 4. They’re comfortable to wear and 5. They’re a little luxury that everyone can get behind. Dads may not know they need them, but we know that they’ll fall in love once they have them.

5. Amazon Fire Stick w/ Alexa Voice Remote
As most of you know by now, traditional cable companies have seen their overall subscription number take a nosedive in recent years thanks to seriously stiff competition from streaming media services. And it’s not just millenials making this change. Our parents’ generation is getting hip to the fact that they can have access to endless TV shows, movies and more via streaming services at a fraction of the cost of their cable package, and are looking for ways to make their streaming media setup at home easier and more user friendly. Enter the Amazon Fire Stick paired with the Alexa Voice Remote. Using your voice to command Alexa to cater to your every media whim with the Voice Remote, your dad can have access to over 15,000 apps and games, plus Netflix, Hulu, HBO NOW, YouTube, Amazon Video, NBC, WatchESPN, Disney, and more. Yes, subscription fees for some of those things apply, but the stick and remote are both so insanely user friendly, that you’ll rarely get “how do I work this thing” calls in the middle of your important meeting. And that, my friends, makes it all worth it.

6. G-Shock Watch
This is another one of those items that several of the men in our family have and love love love. G-shock watches have been a men’s style staple since the dark ages and all kinds of dudes from sports legends to hip hop stars have professed their love for Casio’s iconic sporty timepiece. They’re shock-resistant and water-resistant for up to 200m and Because the G-Shock comes in so many styles, it works for any kind of guy no matter what they’re into. And as far as well-made, stylish, uber functional timepieces go, these are pretty darn affordable. Basically, it’s really hard to mess this one up.

7. FitBit Charge 2
Neither of us have ever personally used a FitBit, but it seems like people just can’t get enough of these sleek fitness monitors! And that especially goes for dads. I know so many dads who are addicted to their FitBit, and the FitBit Charge 2 comes in six colors, tracks all-day activity like steps, distance, calories burned, floors climbed and active minutes in addition to monitoring your heart rate and guiding you through personalized breathing sessions. If your dad is active, trying to get active or you’re just trying to motivate him to finally get active, this is a pretty perfect gift!
Less Expensive Option:
8. Vice Golf Balls
Apparently, Vice golf balls are the new hotness with golf enthusiasts, so if the dad in your life is as obsessed with golf as some of the dads in our family are, this is definitely a gift that will make all of their golf buddies jealous! One reviewer on Amazon says, “Excellent Golf Balls. Great value. I find them as good as Pro V1’s.” And apparently “as good as Pro V1s” is a great endorsement, so a pack of these bad boys seems like a no-brainer!
9. The North Face Gordon Lyons Jacket
If your husband, father or whoever the special dad is in your life doesn’t have a lightweight, soft, fitted fleece jacket like this one or the Patagonia Better Sweater, they need one. Trust us! Many of the men in our family have one style or the other and they all wear them so much. Chris accidentally left his behind at our house in Michigan over Christmas, and my dad showed up in Arizona wearing it like it was his. That’s how awesome these things are. Work, golf, hiking, biking, whatever. It’s sort of the perfect piece for all occasions if you’re a dude and one of those things that when you see other dudes rocking it, you want one.

10. The Splurge: GoPro Hero5
This is definitely a major splurge, but did your dad ever let you down? I thought not. So if you find it in your heart to shell out the big bucks for the guy who has given you anything and everything your little heart has ever desired, this would be an awesome gift. In general, dads just like cool gadgets. But when that gadget can capture their every adventure and family gathering in stunning 4K video and 12MP photos in single, burst and time lapse modes, it’s just epic. They don’t even have to know what those things are… they’ll just see that it’s awesome. Mic drop.
